Our Pastor

I grew up in Morrice, a small town in lower Michigan. My family and I attended Antrim Baptist Church, a country church in Byron. It was there that I accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as my personal Savior at the age of 8 and soon after was baptized.

At the end of my junior year my family moved to Jefferson, Wisconsin. I attended Maranatha Baptist Academy in Watertown, WI. and it was in January of 1974, under the preaching of Dr. Bill Rice, that I answered the call of God for my life to be a pastor. I enrolled in Maranatha Baptist Bible College the next year to prepare for the Lord’s will.

In March of 1976 I married my childhood sweetheart, and in June of 1979, we both graduated from MBBC. That fall we found ourselves serving the Lord at Central Baptist Church in Plymouth, MI. as the Asst. Pastor. The Lord has given a wide range of ministry experience since that time. We have filled the position of Associate Pastor, Principal, Camp Director, Youth Pastor, Senior Pastor, and planting two other churches.

Prior to our move back to Massachusetts, I completed my Masters of Biblical Studies at Emmanuel Baptist Theological Seminary in Newington, CT. It was during this time that God moved in my heart to plant another church. God made it clear to us to move back to MA and plant Maranatha Baptist Church. The Lord provided our family with a house in Feeding Hills, a part of Agawam, MA, where we moved to in October of ‘08. We are excited about the Lord using us once again to plant a New Testament Baptist Church for His glory! Our prayer and goal is to see MBC started, growing, and one day become a ‘Mother Church’ in planting another Baptist church! As Pastor of MBC, it is my heart’s desire to preach and teach God’s Word and to see God’s will fulfilled through people by seeing them accept salvation in Christ, seeing them grow spiritually, and seeing them serving others!
